About the Sammelan

A confluence for Eastern and North-Eastern India

The Sammelan brings together farmers, farmer organisations, civil society groups, researchers, scientists, universities, government departments, social entrepreneurs and policy practitioners from across the region.

The gathering will centre ecological agriculture, seed conservation and purity, seed sovereignty, natural farming, food systems, sustainable livelihoods and emerging concerns relevant to Eastern and North-Eastern India.

For farmers, farmer organisations, researchers, civil society groups, students, practitioners and interested citizens.

For farmer groups, organic and natural produce, relevant tools, books and public-interest initiatives. Detailed eligibility will be shown in the application form.
