About the Sammelan
A confluence for Eastern and North-Eastern India
The Sammelan brings together farmers, farmer organisations, civil society groups, researchers, scientists, universities, government departments, social entrepreneurs and policy practitioners from across the region.
The gathering will centre ecological agriculture, seed conservation and purity, seed sovereignty, natural farming, food systems, sustainable livelihoods and emerging concerns relevant to Eastern and North-Eastern India.

The Alliance for Sustainable & Holistic Agriculture (ASHA – Kisan Swaraj) is convening the Sammelan, together with regional networks, organisations and individuals from Eastern and North-Eastern India.
